My BLH Wellness also trains and develops work-integrated learning opportunities for post-secondary students.

On-site fitness training, nutrition education plus optional life and wellness coaching are offered to our corporate clients creating more engaged employees with better morale that results in less turnover.

Fitness Training Class

Both group and individual sessions are available for Corporate Wellness clients. Upon consultation and assessment, a tailor-made training program will be created using both resistance and high and low-intensity cardio training. With a focus on the ten components of fitness, (strength, speed, power, anaerobic endurance, aerobic endurance, agility, balance, coordination, flexibility, and body composition), every employee will experience increased physical and mental functioning for a more fulfilling and productive life.

Nutrition Education Class

Busy work schedules and in-house meetings often mean poor meal planning with diminished energy and concentration. Corporate clients will become knowledgeable of the body’s functions and how to optimize the return on their investment in nutrition and regular physical activity. Knowledge of the intricacies of nutrition and exercise/movement and the relationship between the two is paramount to a successful wellness program, work/home balance, and overall quality of life.

Life & Wellness Coaching

Cultivate a strong corporate culture with wellness coaching. Healthy, happy employees are committed to doing the best job possible. 1What services do you offer corporations?

We help you take care of your employees’ health and wellness with group exercise classes and nutrition education that is provided at your workplace. Our coaching services are offered to individuals and are conducted by phone. Please contact us for a complimentary 45-minute consultation to discuss your company’s needs.

Currently in light of COVID-19, we are running virtual sessions.

3Where do work out/exercise classes happen?

Currently in light of COVID19, we are running virtual sessions. We will resume in person sessions when it is safe to do so. We would be happy to meet you at a location that is conducive, whether that be at your home or in a public space. We service in the GTA and North Simcoe County. If there are currently no exercise training and nutrition guidance classes being offered in your area and you have a group of five or more and would like for us to come to your location, please contact us.

5What is covered in exercise sessions?

We focus on ten components of fitness (Strength, Speed, Power, Anaerobic Endurance, Aerobic Endurance, Agility, Balance, Coordination, Flexibility, and Body Composition). Also resistant training increases: Bone Mass, Strength, Metabolic Rate, Joint Health, Core Strength, Anabolic Hormone Secretion, and improves Tone, Functional Muscle, Resistance to Injury, and Insulin Sensitivity

7Do you provide customized meal plans?

Only a Registered Dietitian is authorized to. Our Certified Nutritionist can give nutritional education advice based on your fitness level and other health factors. We can help you to understand how to read and understand food labels and micro and micro nutrients you get from foods, etc. At My BLH Wellness we help you learn how to nourish your body in a way that honors your health, and taste buds while making you feel good. And we help you learn how to plan your meals.

8How do you educate clients on nutrition and food?

In person before or after exercise sessions, by phone as needed, scheduled trip to your local grocery store (once per client; primarily in the beginning of working relationship). At My BLH Wellness we do not make meal plans for our clients as it won't help you to learn how to sustain a healthier diet for the rest of your life. What we do is help you learn how to nourish your body in a way that honors your health and taste buds while making you feel good. And we help you learn to plan your meals.

9What method of payments do you accept?

We accept e-transfer, or credit card (VISA, MasterCard, American Express, Discovery).

10Are your services covered under insurance?

Yes many extended health care plans have coverage for services provided by a Registered Social Worker or a person holding a Master’s in Social Work. Our coach is registered with several insurance providers; however, you will need to contact your specific provider for coverage details. When you contact them, please verify that you have coverage for work with a Registered Social Worker with a Master’s in Social Work (MSW).
