2 large crispy sweet peppers or 4-5 mini pointed sweet peppers
1/2 teaspoon fresh ginger
2-3 garlic cloves
1 tablespoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon paprika
2 teaspoons onion powder
2-3 teaspoons fresh thyme leaves without the stems
3-4 teaspoons of molasses
1/2 teaspoon of salt
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
A sliver of scotch bonnet pepper just for taste (optional ingredient -- heat rating of 80,000-400,000 Scoville units)
1 tablespoon avocado oil
1 tablespoon water
1 teaspoon apple cider vinegar
How to make it:
Combine all ingredients; blend in a blender until liquid form and pour in a mason jar. Marinade chicken in the jerk seasoning for a few minutes or overnight. Store the remainder of seasoning in the refrigerator for use at another time.
